Overview

Reach is a facilitator that connects passionate teachers to differently abled children. It acts as bridge to connect children who are trapped by their physical conditions and cannot commute to school. We arrange for private tuition lessons by professional teachers to students in their home which is their comfort zone. By this, it gives them an opportunity to explore themselves and open up to the outer world other than their families. We want to give them a chance to bloom fully.

We create a path to give the joy of learning to budding aspirants. We connect kind souls who are passionate in sharing wisdom to children who yearn to quench their thirst of knowledge. They can achieve greater things, if they were given an opportunity to explore their educational interests, talents, and inborn skillsets. If we could reach out to those children, God willing, given the right education, right knowledge and right opportunity, they could be another Stephen Hawking or a Helen Keller. Let’s be an instrument to bring joy to these wonderful souls

Hi, I am Durgapriya. I am born and brought up in Vellore. I graduated as Computer Science Engineer from Bannari Amman Institute of Engineering and Technology in 2001. I work as Junior Solutions Support Engineer in Rejola IT Services. It has been my great pleasure to be a part wonderful team at Rejola. I am given the privilege to work from home. I am immensely grateful to my Mentor Mr. Thomas and my team for supporting me gracefully in all activities.

I am affected by a genetic disorder called Muscular Dystrophy – limb girdle type. It all started when I was 15 years of age. Gradually, I had started losing my muscle power which constricted my limb movements. Now, I am 40, and I am wheel chair bound and dependent on my care-givers for all my physical needs.

I am blessed and fortunate as a child that my family had supported me unconditionally to complete my education and experience the world around me. It is disheartening to see that not many children are given the similar opportunities. This is where our “Reach” comes in. To create a window of abundant opportunities to enter into their lives.

Education is just like the physical eye. It enriches you with knowledge and wisdom to perceive things with greater understanding. Education is bread and butter for your mind and soul. No child should be denied of attaining such treasure because of their physical ailments.

“Reach” is a platform where we connect aspiring special children who are not able attend school to passionate teachers. Through Reach we want to see all children are given equal opportunities to enjoy and experience the joy of learning. By this, they are given wings and put in the right path in achieving their dreams.
